In a previous post, I pointed out how important it is to protect your skin from the sun year-round. Sun Bum Lip Balms, which feature an SPF of 30, make it easy to safeguard an often-neglected area: lips.

Lip skin is very delicate and sun-sensitive, but most of us don’t bother to cover them with SPF. Enter Sun Bum Lip Balms ($4) in an array of fruit flavors, including Pomegranate, Mango, Banana, and Guava. The two balms I have, Mango and Pomegranate, don’t necessarily smell like their respective fruits, but they do smell fruity in general. They also taste very pleasant, though I probably wouldn’t recommend snacking on them.

The balms are clear and very hydrating. They’re easy to apply under a lipstick or lipgloss for extra moisture and sun protection.
